Spent some time on this nature scene learning the ins and outs of foliage creation and getting better with Unreal rendering. Learned a great deal doing this scene and wanted to create something that reminded me of my time out and about in New Zealand.
Utilising SpeedTree to create the foliage gave me an opportunity to work with new software. Creating LOD and billboards for the various treee and foliage that were then painted into the scene. I used splines in Unreal to create the river and the landscape was sculpted in Unreal with a basic landscape material that allowed blending between materials to occur as the landscape was sculpted.
